This research was conducted with the objective of designing an improvement plan for the reduction of production costs of the product called "stator alternator" through the analysis and implementation of different engineering tools in the company Manufacturing Solutions. In today's industries, cost reduction is considered one of the most important approaches, as it allows maintaining competitive prices that are attractive to current customers to ensure their retention, as well as to attract new customers. The research used a mixed approach because quantitative and qualitative scientific methods were employed. The sample includes all operators, mechanics, supervisors and engineers involved in the production line, which coincides with the total population under study. For the analysis of the sample, several information gathering techniques were used, such as observation, which allowed determining the operations that generate the most waste, and surveys were also carried out that facilitated the collection of data related to the research. The application of these tools determined the operations and components that have the greatest influence on the final cost of the product. Therefore, a plan was developed for the implementation of different tools and methodologies such as: Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
