The present study aimed to design an improvement plan for the teaching and learning of accounting through the use of technology in fifth-grade students of the technical baccalaureate in administrative and tax management at the José Morel Polytechnic High School. Theoretical methods such as analysis and synthesis were used to study bibliographic sources, and empirical methods, such as surveys and interviews with students and teachers, were employed to diagnose the use of technological tools in accounting education. The findings revealed that the use of technology in the classroom is limited, and both teachers and students lack training in its use. In addition, inequalities in access to technological resources outside the classroom were identified. The conclusions indicate that the integration of tools such as accounting simulators and specialized software can improve the theoretical and practical understanding of accounting concepts, and that training for both students and teachers is essential to maximize the use of technology in the classroom. The implementation of the proposed improvement plan will allow for greater equity in access to technological resources and a more dynamic and interactive teaching experience.
