The general objective of this study was to design an orientation plan on the importance of early orthodontics in children. It was a descriptive study, with a quantitative approach and a non-experimental design. Survey results indicated that, although parents recognize the importance of early orthodontics, their level of knowledge about when and how to initiate these treatments is limited. The majority of respondents consider it important to perform preventive treatments, but there is still a significant gap in education about preventive orthodontics. In addition, it was identified that mothers are the main people responsible for making decisions about their children's dental health. Based on these findings, an orientation plan was designed that includes informative talks, practical workshops and an awareness campaign on social networks. This plan was evaluated by experts, who validated its relevance and effectiveness in increasing the level of knowledge and promoting the adoption of preventive practices. In conclusion, the study not only provided a detailed understanding of early orthodontics in children, but also developed a concrete action plan to improve education and awareness among parents, with the aim of preventing major dental problems in the future.
