The purpose of the article was to analyze the relevance and ethical use of artificial intelligence in the field of education. The article included the meaning of artificial intelligence, addressing its definition, describing it as a disruptive technology. The study was carried out using a qualitative approach based on a documentary review. The use of artificial intelligence in solving educational problems was addressed, emphasizing the need for this technology to be used in a complementary way to support the class regardless of its modality, creating strong and transparent regulatory frameworks that protect people from its possible amoral and unethical use. It concluded by analyzing the possibility, ethically and humanly unacceptable, of using robots governed by artificial intelligence to replace teachers in the teaching-learning process.
